IT Systems Engineer / Network Administrator

As a member of the network administration team, you will install, deploy, and upgrade servers to support existing infrastructure. Design and implement upgrades, develop infrastructure, manage and automate recurring tasks, and help ensure that technology is always an aid, not an obstacle. Working in a demanding, fast-paced environment, you will need exceptional technical expertise and individual initiative while maintaining a user-centered attitude.

  • Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities include: 1. Customer service 2. Project management and documentation 3. Management of: a. - Windows Server b. - Microsoft Exchange c. - Active Directory management d. - Security management, including Group Policy Objects e. - Administrative scripting (highly preferred) f. - Server virtualization g. - Storage Area Networks 4. Oversee development and maintenance of computer systems. 5. Layered security 6. Participation in strategy and design, including assistance with medium and long-range computer facility, data communications and systems planning. 7. Design and implement system security and data assurance. 8. Resolve server hardware and problems 9. Oversee management of systems backups and data recovery. 10. Linux and AIX administration 11. LAN network administration. 12. Working as a team player and willingness to lend a hand with any project. 13. Assist with developing and ongoing testing of network disaster procedures. 14. Perform other duties as assigned

  • Requirements:

    Five to ten years’ experience working in a Microsoft server environment. Hands-on working experience with Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft SQL Server. Experience working with Linux/Unix Operating Systems. Preferred knowledge of scripting languages (ie. PowerShell, PHP). Solid Cloud experience, preferably in AWS. Required Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, MIS, or equivalent hands-on work experience. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2008/2012 Operating Systems, including Active Directory Administration, security, Group Policy Objects, SAN and SIEM Administration. Outstanding customer service and interaction skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communications skills.
